DIAKHABY: "WE HAD TO WORK FOR THE WIN"
The defender talks after his goal against Getafe
Mouctar Diakhaby reflected on a goalscoring performance from him in the win against Getafe CF.
A KEY VICTORY
“I'm very happy with what we did today. These are three vital points before the international break. We're happy.”
HIS GOALSCORING
“It was my first goal of the season. I hope that me scoring happens a lot. We have to keep working. I always try to give my all, and today the goal came. We have to focus on the coming games. These are three important points, and we have to give our all in the upcoming games.”
SET PIECES
“We're working hard. It's also down to the work by the coaches, who help us find open areas to score goals. Obviously, that helps us in matches, but we also have to read the play well. We did a good job, and I'm happy for the team.”
GETAFE'S TOUGHNESS
"It's important to know how to interpret the match, because Getafe are a very tough team. They had started the season well and they were confident. We hadn't won any matches and we had to go for the victory, work for that victory. We did so with commitment."
CARIÑO DE MESTALLA
“I'm very grateful. I feel the affection the people here show me; it's something very special, and I don't know what to say. It's incredible. It's difficult, but I have to focus on what happens on the pitch; I can't get caught up in it. There are good moments in football, and those are good moments. You have to enjoy it, but keep a cool head too.”
